GroupWise 18 has included a GroupWise Calendar Server that allows Mac users to connect to GroupWise using CalDAV and CardDAV for calendar and contacts. This, combined with IMAP and SMTP, provides a full solution for Mac users. The following document tells you how to configure your Mac to use GroupWise.
- Adium is an Open Source, multi-protocol instant messaging application for Mac OS X. Adium supports AIM, ICQ, Jabber, MSN, Yahoo!, Google Talk, Bonjour, Gadu-Gadu, Novell Groupwise, SIP/SIMPLE (Text), and Lotus Sametime. Additionally, it supports all of these applications at once so, even if you have multiple IM accounts, you don't have to log into each account separately.
- The easiest solution by far is to get your IT department to install Novell data synchronizser basically it's a simple app that can sit on a sles11 server or sles11 virtual server, and it works like a Blackberry server it will push all groupwise mail / contacts / calender etc. Onto your phone into the normal mail app you just logon as if you are setting up an exchange account but leave the domain blank and put in the address your it department will give you for the mobility server.
- The GroupWise Mac client will be released alongside a version for Linux, and both are coming later this year, according to Novell. GroupWise is a workflow collaboration product designed for e-mail.
